The SPH-305 hydraulic welding boom (also known as a welding space arm or wire feeder arm) is an auxiliary welding device specifically designed for welding workstations, primarily used to suspend wire feeders, welding torches, cables and air hoses. Featuring a 3-meter single-arm design, the main arm supports 180° horizontal rotation and is equipped with a hydraulic lifting system, allowing flexible height adjustment to suit welding requirements. It is suitable for welding environments with smaller workpieces and limited working space. The wire feeder bracket has a load capacity of 80 kg. The integrated design of the wire feeder effectively reduces cable tangling on the floor and the need for frequent handling, significantly enhancing the convenience of welding operations and maintaining a tidy workshop environment. 

During prolonged use, traditional hydraulic welding booms are prone to issues such as damage to wear-resistant components, cracking of the base, or structural loosening due to frequent friction between the main boom and the base, thereby affecting the equipment’s service life and operational stability.

To address this industry challenge, Xutai Machinery has independently developed a high-pressure wear-resistant sleeve. Having undergone rigorous 24-hour dynamic compression testing, it offers excellent wear resistance and compressive strength, effectively reducing wear caused by prolonged friction. Following this upgrade, the main boom rotates more smoothly and stably, maintaining optimal performance even in high-frequency welding environments. This reduces equipment maintenance costs and extends the service life of the entire machine.

The SPH-305 hydraulic welding boom offers two mounting options: column-mounted and workshop steel beam wall-mounted. These can be selected flexibly according to the workshop structure and actual production requirements.

● The column-mounted installation utilises a floor-standing column support structure, which is not dependent on the workshop layout and can be flexibly positioned in various welding areas;

● The workshop steel beam wall-mounted installation, on the other hand, utilises existing steel structures or steel beams for fixing, requiring no floor space and helping to optimise equipment layout whilst improving workshop space utilisation.

How is the load-bearing capacity of the SPH-305 hydraulic welding boom tested?

1. Static load test

Install the SPH-305 hydraulic welding boom in position, attach the standard weight assembly, and apply loads in stages from the rated load to 1.25 times the rated load to 1.5 times the rated load, allowing the structure to stand for 10–30 minutes.

Observation: No plastic deformation, no cracks in the welds, no structural deformation, and no abnormal noises.

If none of the above conditions are present after 30 minutes, the product is deemed to have passed.

2. Dynamic Test

The SPH-305 hydraulic welding boom is repeatedly raised and lowered, rotated 180°, and started and stopped under the rated load to check for any vibration, looseness or fatigue cracks. If none of the above issues occur during one hour of dynamic testing, the product is deemed to have passed inspection.

3.Once the above static and dynamic tests meet the acceptance criteria, the quality control department applies labels and affixes a certificate of conformity, and the product is released for the market.
